I've used uTorrent version 2.0.4 for many months now, but just recently Norton has been detecting the program's help file as a Trojan.Dropper. The file was picked up in my last full scan a few days ago and quarantined. uTorrent's Help feature downloads a .zip file containing a copy of the help file and extracts it, but when I do this, the new help file gets blocked by Auto-Protect.
I checked the .zip file out on VirusTotal and get a 3/42 result (eSafe and PCTools have the same detection). I checked it a few times, including once having it get the file directly from uTorrent's site. Also had it scan the help files for a few older and newer versions of the program, but this was the only one I saw that showed any sort of detection.
I also tried sending a false positive report, but only got back a generic response saying that this has been found to be a risk and that Norton will continue with the detection, along with a bunch of unhelpful/outdated links.
I was hoping to find out why this file was being detected, and if there's anything I can do about it. I can provide a link to the .zip containing the help file in question, if necessary.
